FedEx's ominous commercial during Sundays game of a man on the moon being vaporized by passing debris was a early forecast to The New York Times Science section today. Following the
destruction by China last month of a weather
satellite has caused growing concern for the amount of debris floating in the outer heavens. What this could mean is a potential hazard of all space objects in orbit. At its extreme too much debris could make it impossible to even launch into space without being
destroyed.
yeah, but admit it, that commerical totally blew your mind. I mean, who cares about space debris when you have the Final Countdown playing in the backround?
